Frequently Asked Questions – Khojshala
Khojshala is a career exploration program designed for rural youth. It helps young people understand their interests, build essential skills, and explore livelihood opportunities that are relevant and possible in their own regions.
Khojshala is open to young people aged 17 to 25 from rural areas of Uttarakhand and the Western Himalayas who are curious about their future, unsure of what path to take, or looking for local career options.
Most career guidance assumes migration and urban jobs as the default. But many young people want to stay back and build meaningful lives at home. Khojshala focuses on rural realities, helping youth explore work possibilities close to where they live.
Khojshala is a 6-week guided journey that includes:
Hands-on activities
Exposure to different livelihoods
Self-discovery exercises
Interactions with local entrepreneurs and professionals
Career planning support
From agriculture and tourism to digital work, services, and local entrepreneurship, Khojshala explores a wide range of opportunities based on what's possible in the region and aligned with each participant's interest.
